Photo Art Direction

Art Direction is a natural extension of our design work. We organize and direct photography from small one day table top shoots to multi-location, multi photographer shoots involving a high degree of organization and planning. We have art directed product, food and lifestyle photography and every combination of those to solve our client’s marketing needs.

We focus primarily on:

  • building strong brand asset libraries
  • creating effective marketing imagery
  • supporting new products and services

Our 6P Production Approach

1

Probe

We gather info and intel. We discover your needs and make sure we understand your marketing challenges, internal processes and project objectives. We focus on the end goal and look for opportunities to build in simplicity, efficiency and success.
2

Plan Session

We meet with the client and talk about options. Photographers are presented, locations are discussed and logistics are talked about to get a better handle on how involved the shoot will be and what will be needed to do the job.
3

Pre-production

Client, Photographers, Stylists meet to review plan in the form of a shoot book. The meeting helps to iron out the little details and bring up issues. The pre-production meeting consolidates the plan and draws on the expertise of the team to refine the parameters.
4

Production Prep

After our pre-production meeting, we start to prepare everything that's needed for the shoot. Props are purchased, products are identified and shipped, talent, food stylists, makeup and set stylists are all put on ice and final locations are approved. Shoot book is finalized with product, props, photo direction and other guidelines. Working schedule is agreed on.
5

Production

Art Director and Photographer review set, lighting, product and surfaces for each set and make adjustments. Work through schedule and make adjustments where needed. Art Director ensure we stick to schedule and maintain quality of shots.
6

Post-Production

Art Director reviews all shots with photographer, retouching and color adjustment is done and final files are named and distributed to Client.
